Blends
This week we looked at the blend “th”
We found out that you can have a soft “th” and a hard “th”
We came up with lots of examples. We did a worksheet about
the hard “th” and then we made our own like theatre and puppets for the soft “th”
We had heaps of fun making our own little shows.
Athletics
On Wednesday we had our Junior Athletics. We all had a super
great time and we trained really hard! Some of the people in our class came 1st,
2nd and 3rd in some of the events. We all dressed up in
our house colours to support our house!
At the end of the day we had a house relay. Some of the
children in our class were in the relay because they were super-fast runners! I
wonder if people remember what house won the relay???
On Thursday we wrote some stories about Athletics. We were
trying to use some interesting words in our writing and start it in a fun way!
Check some of our stories out:
Run jump throw! Yesterday Adventure Syndicate did Athletics
down on the field. We did shot put and long jump and high jump. I jumped like
an athlete.

Guess what? Yesterday Adventure Syndicate had Athletics. I
jumped like a kangaroo. I felt so exhausted. I won a race. I was super at
running. I was wobbling when I was running.

Yesterday the whole school had Athletics. We did lots of fun
sports and some of the parents came to support their kids. My mum came to
support me. Some did not have their parents but it was still fun.

Dr Seuss
On Thursday we also did a super cool language experience.
This week we read the book “Green Eggs and Ham” so we made our own green eggs…….
We just pretended that they were real eggs but they were actually chocolate
green eggs! Yummmm!
We got to go to the staff room to use the kitchen. First we
melted white chocolate. Then we put a blob of white chocolate onto the baking
paper with a spoon. Lastly we put a green M & M on top and waited for it to
dry. We thought they were sooo yummy! After that we wrote a poem. We had to
come up with interesting words about DR Seuss or Green Eggs and Ham.
