Science Week!

This week we had Science week at Discovery School. Over the week we watched different Syndicates do a science experiment.

On Thursday it was our turn to show a science experiment! We made air powered bottle rockets to show the school. We filmed it but we are having trouble uploading it to the blog. As soon as we can put it up we will!

During the week we have also been doing some other experiments and writing about them. Here are some of our stories and photos:

Today Miss Rowe let us do an experiment. First we got out the mesh and put it under the water and water could go in and out. Next we went outside, The card stops the air from coming in. If no air can get into the jar then no water can come out of the jar. It looks like jelly in a jar. By Annelise

Wow! What a great experiment! Today MR Class did a science experiment. We needed a jar, food colouring, water and a card. We put the water in the jar and then we put food colouring in the jar. Then we put the card under it. When we did that the air could not come in. The water could not get out through the holes in the mesh. It made me so happy! By Toby

On Friday we had a dress up day. We got to take part in a whole school parade. We got some prizes for the best dressed too!

Adjectives:

This week we have been looking at adjectives. We learned that these are describing words. We made little people and used adjectives to describe ourselves. We also wrote sentences to describe an alien!
