We love Harold!

We were so lucky last week as we got to go and see Harold! We learnt lots with Harold about breathing, the air, how to keep safe in the sun and lots more! We wrote these letters to Harold and we are hoping that he might write us a letter back. Click on the link to check out what we said to Harold:

    Hi MR class, it is Summer. I hope you guys are having fun at School. I hope you guys are learning a lot of science.

    At my new school I have lots of bright colours on the school buildings and the playground. Colours like blue, red, orange, pink, green, yellow and purple. And my new school is by Wellington Girls College and their building colour is grey.

    We also have a website www.thorndon.school.nz. My new school is called Thorndon Primary School. It is fun and you get to go out of bounds and on the field and you can also climb trees.

    At morning tea and lunch we all can also play on the playground. And the playground is big, we are allowed to go on it.

    At morning tea and lunch you can do anything you want and the bell is really loud by my classroom.

    My teacher's name is Mrs H and she is a nice teacher and we like to be in her class. I am in Room 9.

    I really miss you all. I miss Miss Rowe and the whole gang. I wish I could have stayed there but I had to move school. But there are some kids that look out for me and their names are Sasha, Teau, Zahra, Charlotte, Hakoryn, Jenessa and Frankie - so I will be OK.

      Hi MR Class

      My principal is a boy. His name is Mr du Chatenier - I think his name is French.

      I will see you guys soon. Hopefully I can visit before the end of term.

      There are 21 kids in my class.

      I hope you guys were safe from the earthquake. When the earthquake happened I was on a dangerous place. I was playing on the monkey bars on the playground with my friend Zahra. It was Free Time. It was actually quite scary when it happened.

      My Mum came to pick me up from school really early. She was the first parent to come then other parents came. Everyone was frightened. But everyone was safe.

      I hope to hear from you guys soon.

    Dear MR,

    It was so much fun having you all to visit in the mobile classroom to learn about the oxygen cycle and our amazing bodies. Thank you so much for helping me with my homework you did it really well and I could go with the camera crew to meet Diver Dan so we could learn about all the amazing things that need 'air to live'.
    We are so special and amazing please remember to look after each other. I promise to complete all my homework on time I have been really good at getting it done on time and Nana Harold made me a banana shake and said I was a clever giraffe. I love Nana she makes the best banana shakes mmmm yumbo in my tumbo. Have you tried one?

    I love it at Discovery school and you are all so kind and your teachers are super cool. I love going to all my schools we have so much fun.

    Thank you for surprising me with the stars that was kind. Please be kind to each other and be so safe.

      Hi Harold,

      We hope you haven't been too naughty! Some of us have tried banana shakes and some of us haven't. We bet that your Nan's ones are the best!
      Where are you going to go next? Have you met any new friends yet?

      We hope you are not going to be super silly when you come on your next visit!!!
